I basically went through all the same steps that you did, but it took me about a day rather than a half hour…I did get the propoganda off the site quickly because I looked in my root access logs and saw that the user who had accessed my admin area had been inside my “themes style sheets”…so I automatically deleted the theme from my file manager and ended their little party.

But gaining access to the admin dashboard was far trickier and after I was in I found at least three unidentified users on my blog.

Maybe word press should provide a function so that administrators have to approve any and all subscribers so odd ones like these never get in.

I’m PaperDreamer at Twitter. I never thought I would be using Facebook for anything. When I visited a fellow online store owner’s FB page, I decided to join. FB was quite complicated to me but because of my self-taught computer literacy I was able to make a business page. I try to update it every 2 wks or so. I don’t have time to visit more often than that. Your books have really good prices and I look forward to buying one when I can afford to. I still think it is too complicated for most of the people that I know.

Etsy gets so much more publicity and is more widely known than, say, Artfire or Made it Myself, that I wonder how Zibbet will fare.

I basically gave up on my MIM shop…it’s still open but I only have a dozen items listed.

My Etsy shop does very well, I actually have more sales from repeat customers that we’ve been able to do without Etsy, so my numbers are actually much higher than they show but I’ve saved $ by not going through Etsy.

My Artfire shop is okay…I’ve only had it a little more than a month and it’s coming along.

Of course, my website is my best one but I don’t mind selling on multiple sites get your name out there.

I teach, and play, at a quilt shop because I like to interact with ladies that share my love of quilting. Because I’m just under 40, there aren’t many women, my age, that quilt.

What I know for sure is that each blog post gets its own URL (at least in Wordpress). I use a Wordpress plugin called “All in one SEO” that among other things, lets me customize the URL, title and description tags of each blog post. Very convenient way of optimizing each post for keywords.

I’m not sure about each post becoming a separate page, that I’ll have to look in to. It certainly doesn’t look like a separate page unless I specifically add it that way, but that could be a Wordpress thing.

I’ll definitely take a look at setting up each item on a separate page though.

In all, seems like good advice, something to carefully consider.
